K-SNAP is a brief, reliable measure of cognitive mental abilities. Included are four subtests: Mental Status, Number Recall, Gestalt Closure, and Four-Letter Words. Performance can be interpreted using age-based normative scores. Or, an 8-point Impairment Index can be used to identify examinees who are likely to need further diagnostic testing.


The K-SNAP was developed with the K-BIT and K-FAST, and normed on 2,000, both normal and clinical subjects, as well as the neurologically impaired. The K-SNAP provides standard scores, including enough easy items to reliably evaluate the moderate to severe mentally challenged and dementia.
