Assessment of Attention Problems & Measure of Treatment Efficacy
Conners’ Kiddie Continuous Performance Test (K-CPT)
C. Keith Conners

Age: 4 – 5
Administration: 7.5 minutes

The K-CPT program follows the same basic paradigm as the popular Conners’ CPT II, with some key differences for specifically testing young children. First, the administration time is half the length of the CPT II. Second, pictures of objects rather than letters are used. Children are asked to press the spacebar or click the mouse for every picture that appears except the ball. Since very young children are better able to recognize pictures than letters, letter recognition problems do not present a potential confound.

This comprehensive software package allows for a single administration report and the multi-administration report, allows you to compare the results of up to four administrations for the same child. It is the ideal tool for monitoring treatment efficacy. The software manual is presented in two parts. Part 1 contains information on the background, development, and use of the K-CPT program, case studies, and detailed data on its norms and psychometric properties. Various measures are calculated by the program. They include: Response Times, Errors, Change in Reaction, Signal Detection Theory Statistics, and Overall Statistics. Part II of the manual provides software installation and use guidelines
