Time Lines teaches students to recognize information: from alphabetical order, graph and chart order to time line order through lessons in when the 50 states joined the Union, the Oregon Trail, how an elimination baseball tournament is a time line, and why a recipe or a calendar is on a time line.

The students in the stories, Butch, Mindi, Kate, Sam, Don, and Jan, model the language and academic skills the students in your classrooms are learning.

The 26 approximately 350 word stories have a definitions from context work sheet, an analysis and comprehension work sheet, a main idea, problems, solutions,details from context, setting, time, and summary work sheet.
